Expert Help For All Problems of a Personal, Emotional or Habitual Nature

What To Expect From Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy

"Hypnotherapy is probably the kindest, quickest and most effective form of personal therapy available. A session of hypnotherapy is as comfortable and easy as a cosy chat with your best friend, but will amazingly allow you to experience the most remarkable changes…"

The first thing to understand about hypnotherapy is that you are always in control; you will be aware throughout the whole experience and the process is designed to put you at ease and make you comfortable. Hypnotherapy is usually a relaxing and pleasant experience.

It starts with a preliminary chat to identify and clarify the problem and then you will be made comfortable in a reclining chair at which point the treatment begins. It usually follows one of two approaches depending on the nature of the problem:

Suggestion therapy (Hypnotic Suggestion) –  which involves introducing and implanting positively phrased ideas/suggestions into your conscious and subconscious mind in order to bring about the desired change in your experience and behaviour.

Hypno-Analysis (Analytical Therapy) – an extremely powerful form of personal therapy that helps you identify and resolve the underlying causes of your problems. As the negative beliefs and emotions are released, any symptoms they were producing naturally fade or disappear.

Suggestion therapy typically involves just 1 or 2 sessions.

Hypno-Analysis typically involves a course of 6 – 8 weekly sessions, as an average, but can be more, or less and can also be adapted to suit your situation and needs.

Once we get started, you will be asked to close your eyes and allow your mind to focus on some ideas that will help you relax.  You will barely notice the transition to hypnosis and most people find it a liberating, enlightening and reassuring experience. A brief chat afterwards to sum up and that’s all there is to it.

Which one do you need – Hypnotic-Suggestion or Hypno-Analysis?

Hypnotic Suggestion is best suited for changing habits, such as Stopping Smoking, Nail-biting, Hair-Pulling (Trichotillomania) and so on, or a quick confidence booster for public speaking or such like.

Hypno-Analysis is best suited where there are emotional driving forces involved – Eating Disorders, Anxiety, Low Self-Esteem and so on.

But there is a natural crossover between the two, we end up using both to some extent, and it is usually fairly obvious when we meet, which one you need most.
